There are many keys on the keyboards other than the letters (a to z) and numbers (0 – 9). Many are not English punctuation characters, but symbols used in coding. We get asked regularly what a particular symbol is called because they are being used by password generators more and more. Every time we add a new character to a password we are making it harder for a cracking program to find our passwords.
